What Opportunity Lantern provides
Opportunity Lantern — Find Your Next Opportunity is a career navigation and referral service starting in the Twin Cities. Jobs & Career Opportunities is the primary section, supported by Job Fairs and career preparation resources.
Vacancies and events are summarized from linked official sources with a source-check date. A listing may change or close after it is checked. No employer partnership or agreement to participate is implied.
Opportunity Lantern is not the employer and does not make hiring decisions. It does not promise a job, interview, admission to training, a particular salary, or any application outcome. Check the specific official posting for current availability, requirements, pay, benefits, deadlines, and accommodations.
Applications and external resources
Apply Now opens a referral disclosure. Continue to official application opens the employer’s specific application destination. Complete applications directly with the employer; no application is submitted on Opportunity Lantern.
We record outbound referral-link selections locally in this browser and in shared administrator reports by job and date. Repeat clicks can come from the same person. Counts may miss blocked requests or include automated clicks; they do not confirm that the employer page loaded. A click is not proof that an application was started, submitted, completed, or accepted. We do not receive application outcomes from employers. Confirmed application totals are shown as not connected, rather than as zero applications.
Employers, CareerForce, training providers, and other linked services control their own sites, eligibility decisions, services, privacy practices, and terms. A reference or link does not imply a partnership, endorsement, or guaranteed availability.
Using the résumé builder
The builder formats the information you enter. It does not verify qualifications, invent experience, provide an AI assessment, or professionally review the résumé. You are responsible for checking its accuracy and deciding what to include before sharing it.
Save Draft keeps an editable copy in this browser only. Download Text creates a local file. Print / Save PDF opens your browser’s print controls; you choose the output and confirm any save or print action. None of these actions submits an application.
The optional example uses fictional details. Replace them with your own information. You retain your rights in your own résumé content; do not include content you are not authorized to use. Read the Privacy Policy for storage and deletion controls.
Employer and job listing rules
Only an employer or someone authorized to represent it should submit a job. Information must be accurate, current, and lawful. Employers remain responsible for their hiring practices and for disclosures required by applicable employment laws.
- Identify the real employer and clearly describe the role, location, working arrangement, schedule, qualifications, pay information, and closing date as applicable.
- Use an employer-authorized application destination. Do not impersonate an employer or use misleading, malicious, or unrelated links.
- Do not submit scams, unlawful discriminatory requirements, deceptive pay claims, spam, malware, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Do not put applicants’ private information, passwords, bank details, or identity documents into a job description or the employer listing form.
- A listing must be reviewed before any public publication. Submission does not guarantee approval, publication, referral volume, or a hire.
Submit for Review sends the form to the private shared review queue. No employer account is required. You receive a submission reference; only the administrator can retrieve the full submission and its private contact details. The reviewer must check and approve it before a card and OL Job ID appear on this site. Submission sends the administrator a reference and private review link by email. It does not publish the listing. The administrator can remove the shared submission and any associated job card. Keep the receipt reference for questions or removal requests.
Listings with closing dates leave the active view after the displayed date in America/Chicago. The employer’s exact cutoff may be earlier. Missing deadlines are identified rather than invented. The official posting determines availability. Expired jobs are excluded from public search and saved-job results. Old job links show an expiry notice and a link to current openings.
Responsible use and content
Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property. Do not attempt to bypass private access controls, interfere with the site, impersonate another person, distribute harmful content, or misrepresent unverified information as a verified opportunity.
The Opportunity Lantern name and logo must not be used to impersonate the service or falsely suggest its endorsement. Other employers’ and providers’ names and marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance here does not establish a relationship.
Use Contact / Report a problem to send a listing concern or removal request to the private administrator inbox. Earlier local review flags remain in the browser and are not automatically sent.
Accessibility and language
The site offers text-size choices, stronger contrast, reduced-motion settings, labeled controls, and keyboard focus styles. Use Aa on the main page or the reading controls on this page to adjust the display.
The language menu previews selected interface labels in English, Somali, Spanish, Arabic, and Oromo. Detailed listings, forms, résumé content, and these policies are in English. The service does not supply interpreting or ASL services and does not claim certified accessibility compliance. Ask the actual employer or event organizer about accommodations, interpreting, captions, and access arrangements.
Availability and changes
The service may change or become unavailable. Browser storage may be cleared or fail. Résumé drafts, saved jobs, preferences, and referral activity do not sync across devices; the administrator can access shared employer submissions across devices. Keep a downloaded copy of a résumé you need to retain. There is no applicant application-submission service or payment checkout configured in this service.
These terms describe the current service. Changes in service scope will be reflected in these terms and the Privacy Policy. Nothing here is intended to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For information handling, read the Privacy Policy. The update date at the top identifies this version.
