SIU Investigator

Allied Universal seeks a Special Investigations Unit Investigator in the Twin Cities at $27–$32 per hour, with field work and variable hours that can include weekends and holidays. Investigate suspected insurance fraud involving workers’ compensation, liability, property, casualty or disability claims. Gather information through interviews, research, databases and collaboration with clients, investigators and authorities; document findings; develop investigation plans; and write reports and correspondence. Applicants need a criminal justice bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma and at least five years of professional law enforcement experience focused on fraud investigations, plus at least five years of complex insurance investigation or claims-adjusting experience. The employer also requires the ability to obtain applicable private-investigator licensing, knowledge of insurance and anti-fraud regulations, computer and phone skills, typing of at least 40 words per minute, a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience, and completion of employer training after offer.
